This page is a pre-launch waitlist and price test for a medication-tracking app that does not exist yet. It collects no medication or health information, and it takes no payment details of any kind — only what is described below.
Finn Essig, reachable at finn@kepta.ch, is the data controller for kepta.ch ("we", "us").
Everyone: the email address you submit, which of the two price versions of the page you saw, the price and currency shown to you, which marketing channel sent you (a UTM tag, for example "google" or "reddit" — not your identity), and the time you ticked the consent box together with the wording you were shown when you ticked it. We also store which language you used the site in, so that you get the emails in that same language.
If you tapped any of the questions near the top of the page ("Did I take it?" and the rest), which ones you tapped are saved with your signup. It tells us which problem people actually have, so the app gets built around the right one. Nothing is recorded unless you sign up, and tapping without signing up leaves nothing behind.
If you answered the ten questions: your answers, including anything you typed into the two free-text boxes. Every question is optional, all ten can be skipped, and your founding price is saved either way. We ask what you would pay, how many medications you keep track of, who you would use the app for, and how you manage it today. We do not ask for, and do not want, the names of your medications or anything about your health.
No payment information, ever. This site has no card field, no payment processor and no way to charge anybody. An earlier version of this page did save a card. It no longer does, and any card details collected then have been deleted along with the payment account itself.
This page collects none — there is no app yet. But since it is the thing people most want to know before they hand over an email, here is the commitment, and it is binding:
When Kepta exists, your medication list will only ever be used to run Kepta for you. It will never be analysed, never be sold, never be shared, and never be used to build a picture of you — not for marketing, not for research, not for anything else. It is not the product, and it never will be.
The full detail of how that data is stored and secured will be published here before the app opens, and before anyone has entered a single medication.
There is no cookie banner on this site because there is nothing here to consent to: no advertising cookies, no profiling, no third-party tracking, and nothing that follows you to another website. This is the complete list of what is stored on your device:
Page-view and conversion tracking is done with Plausible, which sets no cookies at all, collects no personal data, and does not fingerprint your device.
To email you when the app is ready, to hold the founding price for you, and to work out what to build and what to charge for it. That is the whole purpose. There is nothing to bill, so there is no billing reason to hold anything.
We rely on your consent, given by ticking the box on the signup form. Nothing is stored before you tick it.
Because "you agreed" is worth very little without a record of it, we also save when you ticked it and the exact wording you were shown. If we ever reword that box, your record keeps the version you actually agreed to.
You can withdraw your consent at any time, and it is genuinely one click: every email carries a link that deletes your address and your answers on the spot. Withdrawing is free, needs no reason, and does not make anything we did beforehand unlawful.

Some of these providers process data outside Switzerland and the EEA (including in the United States), under their own standard safeguards such as the EU–US and Swiss–US Data Privacy Frameworks or standard contractual clauses. We do not sell or share your data with anyone else, and we do not use it for advertising.
If this test does not lead to a real product, we will email everyone who signed up to say so, and delete your address and your answers within 14 days of that email. If it does proceed, we keep them until the app ships and you either start or decline your trial, or until you ask us to delete them — whichever comes first.
You do not have to ask. Every email we send carries a link that deletes your address and your answers immediately, without anyone reading a request or replying to it.
All of these are free, and you never have to give a reason. Email finn@kepta.ch and we'll act within 14 days. There is only one person to go through, so in practice it is usually the same day.
If you think we've got something wrong you can also complain to a regulator. In Switzerland that's the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC); in the EU or UK, your national data protection authority. We'd rather you told us first, but you are not obliged to.
Nothing here makes an automated decision about you, and nothing builds a profile of you. Your answers are counted alongside everyone else's to work out what to build and what to charge. No score is attached to you, nothing is inferred about your health, and no software decides anything that affects you.
The honest version, because a vague paragraph about "industry-standard security" tells you nothing:
If your data is ever exposed by a breach, we will tell the FDPIC — and, where the law requires it, the relevant EU authority — within 72 hours of finding out, and we will email you directly if there is any real risk to you. We will say what happened in plain words, including if the cause was our own mistake.
This is for adults. You must be 18 or over to sign up. We do not knowingly collect anything from children, and if we learn that we have, we'll delete it immediately — you can tell us at finn@kepta.ch and nothing more will be asked of you.
This policy was written carefully to reflect exactly what this small test does, but it is not a substitute for legal advice. Before this becomes a real, charging product, it will be reviewed by a lawyer alongside the actual subscription terms.
